Bright Lights, Big City…

Do you ever notice, that when you are around something constantly, no matter how significant, it can easily be taken for granted? I feel that way with many of the landmarks in the city- specifically The Empire State Building. Sad to say, I have never even been to the top observation deck (probably not uncommon with many native New Yorkers)! I do however, stare at it beautifully lit each night as my train makes its way over the Manhattan Bridge.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 7th) the Empire State Building will be lit up like a Creamsicle Ice Pop, Orange-White-Orange, to help bring awareness, and support to the ASPCA (American  Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).  If you are in the New York City area, make sure you take a moment to check it out. And for those of you too far away- you can still have fun my checking out the Empire State Building official website for fun facts, games, and even download pictures here to print out and color.

Orange for Animals! Click here the Empire State Building homepage and here for more info on the ASPCA.
